Say Something Profound

When my father was a kid, his friends could always rely on him to stand back, look around and sum up whatever situation they found themselves in. It got to the point where, facing one scrape or another, they'd all look at Dad and say, "Say Something Profound, Maver." As my brother and sisters and I grew up, the ability to size things up with something profound almost seemed genetic. And I hope my posts here will be reflections on the scrapes the world seems to be finding itself in. My humble attempts to live up to my Dad's memory and "Say Something Profound" once in awhile.
